Internet SpeedTest lets you easily check your internet speed. For the most accurate results, connect your computer directly to your modem using a cable. Testing via WiFi is possible but may be less reliable.
These are our tips:
- Check whether you are connected to an internet cable (UTP cable) or WiFi.
- Make sure no other devices are connected to the internet.
- Close all browsers, windows and tabs.
- Close all programs and applications that use the Internet.
- Stop streaming or downloading.
- Do not test with old devices. These do not work with high internet speeds.
- Test at different times. The time is related to the result.
- It may help to turn your computer, router or modem off and on.

Internet SpeedTest allows you to measure the speed between your device and a speed test server, analyzing key performance metrics such as ping, jitter, download speed, and upload speed. This test helps ensure you’re getting the internet speed you’re paying for and can identify potential issues with your broadband connection. High ping or slow speeds may indicate a problem with your connection, network equipment, or device. If a website is loading slowly, you can use the SpeedSmart Speed Test to determine if the issue lies with your connection to the server hosting the website.
Testing Ping
Ping measures the reaction time of your internet connection, indicating how quickly you receive a response after making a request. It is measured in milliseconds (ms), and a lower ping signifies a faster and more responsive connection.
Download Speed
The download test is conducted by opening multiple connections to the server and simultaneously downloading data files from each connection. This process is repeated to ensure that the entire bandwidth of your internet connection is fully utilized.
Upload Speed
The upload test is the reverse of the download test. It involves opening a small number of connections to the server and repeatedly sending random chunks of data through each connection, effectively pushing data to the server to utilize the full upload bandwidth of your internet connection.
